Although recent rumors pointed to trouble in paradise, the entertainment world was rocked on Friday
when Russell Brand and Katy Perry announced they were divorcing. The two had been spending time apart leading up to the announcement and were spotted not wearing their wedding rings. In a statement to ET, Brand said: "Sadly, Katy and I are ending our marriage. I'll always adore her and I know we'll remain friends." Brand, an actor, married the pop singer in October 2010.In clips from this Sunday's episode of Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Kris Humphries apologizedto wife Kim's friend Jonathan Cheban for asking him if he is gay, but he still doesn't seem to believe Jonathan's assertion that he is straight. Kris mentions that he and Jonathan "never talk about chicks" and Jonathan responds by asserting that he has a date with a woman that night. On Wednesday, Justin Bieber's grandparents were involved in a car accident in Canada that demolished their vehicle, but they emerged from the wreckage with no serious injuries. Police said the teen heartthrob's grandfather was driving in snowy weather when his SUV hit a patch of slush and sent the vehicle into a ditch. The airbags deployed and the grandmother suffered a finger injury while Justin's grandfather had rib damage, but was treated at a hospital and released.
Brazilian supermodel Alessandra Ambrosio confirmed she's pregnant. The Victoria's Secret Angel, 30, and her fiance, Jamie Mazur, already have a three-year-old daughter, Anja. Despite reportedly being four months along, Ambrosio showed no signs of a baby bump when she walked the catwalk of Victoria's Secret's annual fashion show last month. The gender of the baby-to-be is still unknown.
Rachel Uchitel, the woman famous for having affairs with Tiger Woods and Bones star David Boreanaz, also revealed that she's five months pregnant. The 36-year-old nightclub hostess posted a photo of her belly on Twitter with the message: "Checking out my baby bump at 5 months." She added: "Expecting big things for 2012... Five down, Four months to go." Also shown in the photo with his hand on her belly is Matt Hahn, whom Uchitel reportedly married in October.
Meryl Streep was one of five to receive the spotlight at the annual Kennedy Center Honors in Washington D.C., but it was Streep's star-studded tribute cast that really stole the show. Serenading the Iron Lady with a rendition of She's Me Pal, Anne Hathaway literally sung the 62-yr-old legend her praises, closing the routine with an impressive split which took the help of three to get back on her feet. Kevin Kline, Mike Nichols, Robert De Niro, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci were among the A-listers who took part in Meryl's touching yet hilarious tribute
